This week, we’ve packed in a massive number of updates and features, focusing on the innovative ACARS Bridge and a new release date for the immersive Cabin Crisis feature (Hint: Today). Here’s what’s new with us at SayIntentions.AI:
ACARS Bridge
The ACARS Bridge, developed by Dave Black, is a game-changing tool for pilots wanting full ATC access regardless of the limitations of specific aircraft or simulator environments. With this bridge, pilots can communicate with SayIntentions.AI's ACARS network while connected to Hoppie’s ACARS network, allowing for consistent messaging and seamless Pre-departure Clearance (PDC) and Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) requests.
How Does the ACARS Bridge Work?
The ACARS Bridge acts as an intermediary between SayIntentions.AI’s ACARS network and Hoppie’s, making it compatible with a variety of aircraft that otherwise wouldn’t support SayIntentions directly. By bridging these two networks, the ACARS Bridge enables ATC communication through a unique ATSU (Air Traffic Services Unit) callsign generated specifically for your flight.
Setup and Configuration:
Download the ACARS Bridge from the GitHub page.
Enter essential details including your Hoppie Logon, SayIntentions API Key, and SimBrief Pilot ID.
The bridge generates a unique 4-character ATSU callsign, enabling your aircraft to receive PDC or CPDLC messages via Hoppie while remaining fully connected to SayIntentions’ ATC.
Supported Aircraft and Platforms:
Currently tested with popular models like the PMDG 777 (MSFS), FlyByWire A32NX (MSFS), and the Toliss A330-900 (X-Plane 12), the ACARS Bridge works with any Hoppie-compatible ACARS system, making it simulator-agnostic.
This tool is especially valuable for aircraft and simulators that lack built-in support for SayIntentions’ ACARS network.
Cabin Crisis: Real-World Challenges
Available for Entourage AND Premium NOW!
Cabin Crisis takes realism up a notch by introducing dynamic in-flight emergencies that require quick thinking and decision-making, challenging you to respond like a true pilot. This feature injects unexpected, AI-generated scenarios—like medical emergencies, unruly passengers, and operational disturbances—keeping each flight engaging and unique.
Key Features:
Simple Setup with Adjustable Odds:
Go to Settings > Preview and set the crisis probability to choose the chance of a scenario happening mid-flight. For more excitement, you can manually initiate a crisis with the “Trigger Crisis” button.
Immersive, Realistic Situations:
Medical Emergencies: Scenarios like asthma attacks or severe discomfort prompt you to decide whether to divert, coordinate with the crew, or continue the flight.
Passenger Disruptions: Handle situations with disruptive passengers or a child causing a disturbance, where you may need to deescalate or coordinate for ground intervention.
Harassment and Safety Threats: Manage passengers harassing crew or causing alarm, sometimes requiring law enforcement on arrival.
Endless Variety:
With endless possible scenarios and variations thanks to Neural AI, Cabin Crisis offers over 10 billion unique situations, making each crisis feel fresh and unpredictable.
Cabin Crisis creates a "choose-your-own-adventure" atmosphere, adding authentic tension and excitement to every flight.
ATC with Heavy and Super Callsigns
SayIntentions.AI now fully supports Heavy and Super callsigns, enhancing realism in ATC communications. This feature mirrors real-world ATC operations and adapts based on geographic location. Pilots can enter the correct aircraft weight category in their flight plan, and SayIntentions will automatically recognize and handle callsigns appropriately.
TwoToneMurphy Joins as a Co-Pilot and Cabin Crew
We're absolutely thrilled to announce a collaboration with the brilliant flight sim content creator, TwoToneMurphy. This doesn't enhance realism at all, but it does infuse each journey with Murphy's unique personality, and what can we say. It's bloody brilliant, go give it a listen!
New Crew: Caroline
Designed in collaboration with EasyJetSimPilot, the latest addition to our crew lineup is Caroline, a cabin crew member crafted to elevate your in-flight experience. Caroline interacts with passengers, responds to crises, and adds a friendly presence to every journey.
